Abdul Sattar is an Indian politician belonging to the Indian National Congress Indian National Congress Party from Maharashtra. He was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister, Animal Husbandry, Maharashtra State 〔(Maharashtra CM Chavan allocates portfolios to three ministers )〕
==Political career==
He contested the Grampanchayat elections in 1984 and achieved success. After that he entered Tehsil(Taluka) politics in 1994-95 after which he became the Mayor (Nagardhyaksha) of Sillod district on 5 March 1994. He was elected as the MLA of Sillod by the Vidhanparishad of Aurangabad in the year of 2001. After his tenure as a MLA,Abdul Sattar contested for the elections of legislative Assembly in 2004 in which he lost with shortage of 301 votes. Later he was elected as the MLA from Sillod Soegaon constituency and was sworn in as the Cabinet Minister (Animal Husbandry) of Maharashtra recently.
